[BREAKING] Thai troops continue to violate Cambodian sovereignty by illegally encroaching in Anseh area

Cambodia’s Ministry of National Defense confirms that Thai armed forces dig trenches within the Cambodian territory, as of August 5, 2025:

• 9:09 a.m. | Thai troops violated Cambodian territory specifically in the Anseh area

• 9:50 a.m. | A Thai military truck delivered construction materials, including culverts and tires, and offloaded those in front of their outpost

• 9:53 a.m. | Thai troops resumed digging trench in the area

• 10:55 a.m. | Another Thai excavator approached within 15 meters from the Cambodian army post and began installing culverts and tires into the trench

Ministry of Defense strongly condemned the continued illegal military activity as a serious breach in both the ceasefire agreement and Cambodia’s sovereignty.

Since the morning of August 5, 2025, the Cambodian army has contacted the Thai army to have the barbed wires dismantled and immediately remove its equipment from the Cambodian territory, yet Thai side never complied.
